The Springboard initiative in higher education offers free courses at Certificate, Degree and Master’s level offers leading to qualifications in areas where there are employment opportunities.

 To be eligible for a part-time Springboard course you need to be unemployed with a previous history of employment AND

 Be in receipt of a payment from the Department of Social Protection (there is no minimum qualifying period for eligibility) OR be signing for social insurance contribution credits OR be previously self-employed

 AND
