Call for applications to join the IRISH Reserve Defence Force (RDF)
The Reserve Defence Forces is now accepting applications for Recruits in
the Army Reserve and Naval Service Reserve. We are looking for men and
women from all backgrounds that possess a strong sense of duty and enjoy
working as part of a team.
On the closing date for applications, 14 November 2014, applicants must be
at least 18 years old and under the age of 35 years of age.
Applicants may apply for one (1) appointment in the Army Reserve and one
(1) appointment in the Naval Service Reserve. Any additional applications
will not be processed.

Applications are ONLY being accepted online through www.military.ie .
Please note: It is critically important that you have a current email
address before you start your application. For the duration of the
competition. All correspondence with applicants will be done through email.
Most of the time in the Reserve Defence Forces is on a voluntary, unpaid
basis. However, members are paid to attend training courses and annual
camp. The length of these courses varies but usually range from 7 to 14
days in duration.
To be eligible an applicant must be
An Irish Citizen or
A Refugee under the Refugee Act 1996 or
A National of an EEA State, i.e. The European Economic Area
consists of the member states of the European Union along with
Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway or
A National of any other state who is lawfully present in
Ireland and has had five (5) years lawful and unbroken
residency in the State.
