Cork's Africa Day flagship event is back! This year's Irish Aid hosted event will be taking place on Saturday, 28th of May in Bishop Lucey Park, Cork also known as The Peace Park by Grand Pararde from 11am-6pm. As always, the event is FREE of charge to attend and hopes to provide another great year of family-friendly fun. Music
We have another fantastic line-up this year, our Main Stage, will host a collection of fasting rising DJs, Live Bands, Artists and more. This year’s line-up is not to be missed and all performers will be announced soon!

The Main Stage ✔
Our Main Stage this year will also be showcasing emerging rap, hip hop and r'n'b artists in cork city, this stage is set to feature a range of exciting up-and-coming African or African-influenced acts, from big music ensembles to solo artists. Don’t miss out on discovering great, new music!

Best Dressed ✔
There will also be a ‘Best Dressed’ competition for those who come along in traditional African attire.
Parade ✔

Our African Day parade will see stalls from a range of diverse community groups and development, offering fun activities and sharing their visions of dance, traditional fashion and art designs, as well as much more.
Start practicing your moves, the much-loved Dance Zone is back again this year! This year, the parade will showcase some fantastic dance performances, as well as hosting a number of dance and drumming workshops. We’ll be posting lots of more exciting updates as Africa Day draws closer so keep an eye out for more exciting announcements!

This year Main Stage promise to be full of the sights and sounds of Africa!
Our dedicated kids' zone, will be home to all kinds of exciting activities from face painting and hair-braiding to funfair rides and drumming workshops.
