77,000 carers will get €1,700 Respite Care Grant From First Week of June

77,000 carers will get €1,700 Respite Care Grant from this week. Respite Care Grant is paid to carers providing full time care and attention to an older person or a person with a disability. Approx 77,000 cares will get the grant which is paid the first week of June each year.

The grant is paid automatically to a carer in receipt of schemes such as Carers Allowance, Carers Benefit and Domiciliary Care Allowance.
